#TravelTuesday Q&A: Fun Family Budget Hotels in New York City

Family Budget Hotels in New York City

Q:  Hi Playground! I’m thinking of surprising my family with a trip to New York City this summer to see a Yankees game. I would love suggestions on affordable hotels in NYC that would fit a family of four. The few times we have gone we have stayed in New Jersey. Any suggestions will be appreciated.  Thanks! ~ KJK

A: Hi KJK! What a great idea for a trip! I always think New York City is a great family destination, but I know hotels can sometimes seem prohibitively priced. Luckily, however, there are a few hotels I know of that offer either more space, a few extra perks, or just a great price, for families.

Here are a few fun family budget hotels in New York City I recommend to friends and family:

#TravelTuesday Q&A: Family Thanksgiving Dinner in New York City

thanksgiving in NYC | family travel

Q:  Hi Playground! My husband and I and our three kids, ages 11 to 16, are coming to NYC for Thanksgiving to see my Dad and meet up with other relatives. One problem: no one can host dinner at their apartments, so we have to eat out, and I’m a little melancholy. I really want a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Is there anywhere we can get a family-style meal that will make me feel like home? Thanks! ~ NC
