Looking for a great family Day Trip during Presidents Day/Winter Break? Next month, Kids Week takes over at The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum between February 18 – 24, just in time to provide interactive fun and cool entertainment for families.
Kids Week 2018 will show your family that science is everywhere—from the basketball court to your backyard. Discover how science intersects with art, sports, games and nature in fun-filled activities for all ages. Families will enjoy immersive activities, live broadway musical performances (including a visit from Sponge Bob the Broadway Musical), demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and visits from special guests.
Plus, all of it is free with museum admission!
Check out the lineup of scientific fun:
- Sunday, February 18 and Monday, February 19: Kids Week will explore the science of sports and games. Kids can hone their fastball skills while learning about the physics of a pitch with Montclair’s own Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center, perfect their golf swings with experts, learn to throw a perfect spiral, meet iconic baseball mascot Mr. Met, and much more!
- Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday, February 21: Families can discover the science of arts and music. Kids can enjoy show stopping performances from the casts of Broadway musicals, showcase their artistic skills at drawing and puppetry workshops, create their own comic books, and meet special guests including popular Nickelodeon characters Shimmer and Shine.
