Mark your calendars! The National Park Service invites families to explore nature and history for free during the 2017 National Park Week on April 15 – 16 and April 22 – 23. The annual event is America’s largest celebration of national heritage.

(Fun Fact: On August 25, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation to create the National Park Service)

The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the 127 national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all of the time.
